Date and Location: London / Barcelona: March 5, 2020
Freshy, Barcelona based circular grocery shopping platform, and Nozama.green sign a strategic partnership to enable Freshy to become 100% sustainable thanks to RaaS Platform (Recycling as a Service).
The use of RaaS will enable Freshy to continue its growth in sustainability by providing its customers with full transparency in terms of CO2 saved by buying groceries with Freshy which can be tracked on their personal profiles. In addition to Freshy's 4-Step Zero-Waste circular shopping experience, Freshy customers will also be able to get their trash picked-up & 100% recycled by Nozama, where customers can also track kilograms of various packages recycled by Freshy delivery services enabled by RaaS.
“Our partnership with Nozama and the use of their RaaS platform will enable us to provide our customers with a complete 100% sustainable shopping experience from our 4-Step Zero-Waste Solution to recycling even our customers own trash in their homes.” said Freshy's CEO Mehmet Karakus .
“We are grateful to enable Freshy to become sustainable through the use of our Recycling as a Service (RaaS) platform which will provide Freshy's customers with full transparency in terms of CO2 saved and kilograms of recyclable wa s te recovered and the guarantee that no waste ends up in the environment, ”said Nozama.green's CEO André Vanyi-Robin .
Freshy is a circular online grocery store where our mission is to transform grocery shopping into a more convenient, more accessible and more sustainable experience. The global plastic pollution is widely known and has serious effects on our present and future way of living. Freshy solves and prevents this problem from its roots in 4 steps with zero waste by delivering all grocery orders in reusable jars which after consumption get recollected, cleaned, refilled and resent to the customer.
Nozama is a cleantech company that enables sustainable e-commerce by enabling the sustainable delivery of parcels at home and recovery of recyclable waste from home at the same time.
Nozama's clients are e-commerce companies and logistics companies.
Nozama leverages the delivery to offer those who receive the package the recovery of the material to be recycled. Nozama takes the recovered material to a separation centre, where it separates the recovered material into 14 categories of prime material.
Nozama sells this material to the recycling industry which leverages the quality of the reevaluated trash and the traceability to allow for their customers to track all recovered trash from start to finish thanks to the RaaS platform. Triage is conducted by personnel that are at risk of social exclusion in order to provide sustainable jobs and re-introduce them into the socio-economic fabric.
RaaS ( Recycling as a Service ) platform provides traceability, transparency and smart contract-based recycling incentive programs that enable the selling of online mass consumption products, their collection after usage and their recycling, whilst providing end-users with CO2 savings and kilograms of recycled plastic and other recyclable packaging that has been recovered.
